While completing her undergraduate studies, Emily spent a summer in Seville, Spain as an intern. During her time there she taught Spanish and translated for international refugees who were going through the asylum process. After that, she attended the University of Buenos Aires and spent a great deal of time traveling throughout Argentina.

In May of 2015, Emily obtained her J.D. from Emory University School of Law. While in law school, Emily served as the President of the Emory Immigration Law Society and a Managing Editor of the Emory International Law Review. Her dedication to excellence throughout her academic career has translated to excellence in her legal career. Emily is an invaluable asset to Ross & Pines.

Tracy started her legal career as a prosecutor in the Gwinnett County Solicitor’s Office prosecuting misdemeanor offenses. Due to her trial skills, she was quickly recruited by the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, where she spent the next 12 years prosecuting serious felony cases. Over those 12 years Tracy rose in the ranks, was put in charge of the Gwinnett County Child Protection Unit, where she was assigned all of the child sexual and physical abuse cases, and was ultimately promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief District Attorney.

In 2006, Tracy was hired by DeKalb County to serve as a Magistrate Judge. For the next 10 years, Tracy spent her days in court issuing arrest and search warrants, fielding criminal warrant requests from the public, sitting for bond and preliminary hearings, and sitting by designation as a State or Superior Court Judge.
